I'm Benny Mancillas. Before Chairman Estimating, I spent 10 years as a contractor in Houston, repairing and remodeling damaged homes on insurance-related projects. That hands-on experience informs how I write Xactimate estimates—from the visible damage to the work behind the finishes.

One on-site walkthrough, Matterport capture, an itemized Xactimate estimate in ESX and PDF, a sketch and supporting documentation for standard Houston-area projects. Matterport is included in every file; opting out does not reduce the fee.
Travel, additional visits and specialty work
Before scheduling, we will review the project, timing and any separately quoted work. Revision terms are on the pricing page. Matterport access duration is confirmed in your project agreement.
A few practical questions.
How soon will I receive my estimate?
Most estimates are completed within 3 business days after the on-site inspection, signed agreement and any deposit. Properties with extensive damage may require additional time. The completed estimate is released once any remaining balance has been paid.
How does pricing work?
The estimating fee, any deposit, any travel fee and when payment is due are all explained on the pricing page.
What if I need revisions or longer access to the tour?
Revision terms are explained on the pricing page. Our own errors, including incorrect quantities, are always corrected free. The duration of Matterport access is confirmed in your project agreement. Discuss additional visits, expanded scope or longer hosting with Benny before work begins.
Can you help me find a contractor?
Yes. Tell Benny the property location and the repair work you need. You hire the contractor separately. Our estimating fee is explained on our pricing page, and we’ll go over it before I come out, so there are no surprises.

Soy Benny Mancillas. Fui contratista general en Houston por diez años y escribo estimados en Xactimate desde el 2020. Escribo el alcance de trabajo (scope) línea por línea, con fotos y escaneo Matterport, para reclamos de seguro: agua, techo, fuego, moho, tormenta, inundación y reconstrucción.
Todos los proyectos requieren una visita en persona en el área de Houston. Recorro y documento la propiedad antes de preparar el estimado. Para trabajos fuera de mi área, puedo hacer el estimado a distancia con planos, fotos, video o un escaneo Matterport. Los precios, el viaje y los pagos se explican en la página de precios. La mayoría de las estimaciones se completan dentro de 3 días hábiles después de la inspección en la propiedad, la firma del acuerdo y cualquier depósito.
